– Bio Obst Münch –
We love apples! We produce our own apples for juices, pure or combined with other fruits and vegetables like carrots or beetroot. But we also work with regional partners to deliver our clients with the best and various kinds of apples. One of them, that we particularly appreciate for their wide range of choices and the great bio quality, are the organic farm Bio Obst Muench.

They are located on the Lower Elbe in the beautiful Altes Land. Here they proudly harvested the first organic fruit back in 1982. Their focus is on growing apples, pears, plums and cherries and ensure variety in the orchard.
They have created the conditions so that healthy fruit can grow under the best conditions. The cultivation and preservation of the natural fertility of the soil has the highest priority.
Through organic fertilization, biodynamic compost preparations and gentle soil cultivation, they promote the build-up of the natural humus layer and protect the groundwater. Only on this basis can healthy trees continue to grow, and with them healthy, living fruit.

But that’s not all: The habitat of wild plants and beneficial organisms is protected and promoted. By sowing flower strips, they create valuable habitat for game and honey bees, bumblebees, beetles, hoverflies, wasps and butterflies and a place of refuge for many birds and wild animals.
In all work processes, they observe ecological cycles and prefer energy-saving cultivation methods.
For example, they use the waste heat from their cold stores to heat their commercial premises.

They produce differents sorts of apples like Topaz, Boskop, Santana, Holsteiner Cox and Natyra. One of our favorites are the Topaz apples. The Topaz was created by crossing the Rubin and Vanda varieties in the Czech Republic in 1984, making it one of our youngest apple varieties. The medium-sized, slightly flattened apples are green-yellow with a red-striped color. The flesh is yellowish and firm. The topaz is very aromatic, juicy and slightly acidic.
