Brodowin – the village of seven lakes. Brodowin is located in the district of Barnim in Brandenburg. The ice-age landscape of lakes, meadows and forests is protected by the Schorfheide-Chorin Biosphere Reserve because of its diverse flora and fauna.

The oldest nature reserve in Germany, the Plagefenn, surrounds Brodowin. As early as 1907, this marshland was placed under protection. Its core zone is a reserve inaccessible to humans. Also in the immediate vicinity of the village are well-known excursion destinations such as the Parsteiner See, the Chorin Monastery or the Niederfinow ship lift.
