Today we would like to present to you one of our long run and trustful partner, a very tasteful wines producer. We met several years ago at a fair and it’s always very helpful to know each other in person. The Gustavshof wines come from Gau-Heppenheim, Rheinhessen, approx. 30 km southwest of Mainz. Here in the small wine-growing community on the side slope of the Kloppberg, the Roll family has been growing wine for over 100 years – biodynamically since 2012.

Their wines are complex and lively. They reflect the soil and the vintage and hopefully give you as much pleasure as we do.

The range of wines is divided into “Gutsweine”, “Signature” wines and unfiltered natural wines. Amongst the Riesling, there is also the local wine. The estate wines meet a high quality standard for which they regularly receive awards. Gustavshof signature wines bear the special signature of the soil, the best locations, the climate of each vintage and of course their activities as a winemaking family. Natural wines are a new wine category that focuses on uncompromising naturalness.

 

HistCheck stands for their natural, biodynamic wines in which the histamine content has been examined and is below the detection limit of <0.25 mg / l.

They are the first and only winery in which all wines tested for histamine are fermented spontaneously, with their own natural flora from the vineyard and wine cellar that has developed over the years. They also support this process in the wine cellar with biodynamic preparations and have extremely low histamine levels of <0.25mg / l in many wines.

 

 

Within their “Zero products” range, they also have unsulphurized wines that are allowed to carry the HistCheck logo. The Gustavshof HistCheck range now includes an appealing range of different wines, sparkling wine and secco, verjus and grape juice.
