The oldest nature reserve in Germany, the Plagefenn, surrounds Brodowin. As early as 1907, this marshland was placed under protection. Its core zone is a reserve inaccessible to humans. Also in the immediate vicinity of the village are well-known excursion destinations such as the Parsteiner See, the Chorin Monastery or the Niederfinow ship lift. You can find some beautiful excursion and hiking destinations HERE and also on the website of Ökodorf Brodowin e.V.
